Terms and Conditions of Sales


Reservations must be secured by a credit card.

The hotel requests a pre-authorization of the total amount. Credit card details are requested for booking. 

Reservations are nominative and not transferable.

In the absence of credit card, deposit is required. The deposit is deductible from your overall bill. One night of down payment is requested for any stay of 1 to 4 nights and 2 nights of down payment beyond.

Any change regarding reservation is submitted to the hotel approval.


Cancellation is only possible for the “FLEX” rate

All year except July, August and bank holiday weekends:

The cancellation is free up to 2 days from the date of arrival (e.g.: arrival on 15th can be canceled without charge until 12th, 11.59 pm).

In case of late cancellation, modification or no show, the hotel will charge an amount corresponding to one night.

July, August, events and bank holiday weekends

The cancellation is free up to 5 days from the date of arrival (e.g.: arrival on the 15th can be cancelled without charge until 19th, 11.59 pm).

In case of late cancellation, modification or no show, the hotel will charge an amount corresponding to one night.

Check in

Check in: June to September: from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Check in: October to May: from 5 pm to 8 pm.
All reservations are kept up to 6 pm. Late arrival should be notified one day prior arrival.
In case of payment by check an ID is required.
For long stays, a hotel bill is presented weekly and should be settled within the next morning at the latest.
As per French regulations, the hotel reserves the right to refuse any reservation whose number of occupants is not in conformance with the capacity of the room. Furthermore, on arrival, the hotel may refuse access to the room if the number of occupants exceeds the defined capacity.

During your stay

Animals are not accepted.
Meals cannot be taken in the rooms.
The rooms are all non-smoking.
Room cleaning is daily if the room is without occupant before 11am.
To minimize our environmental footprint, the hotel proposes to change the towels left on the floor only. Towels left on the rack will be considered reusable by staff.

Check out

Check out is before 11 am. After this time the hotel will charge one night supplement.
If you wish to extend your stay, kindly tell us before 9:30 (any stay extension will be subject to availability).
If you wish to shorten your stay, please report it as soon as possible. In case of interruption of stay, one night will be charged by the hotel as compensation.
Missing towels in the room will be charged 15 euros each.

General and special conditions of sale for the Vendée Globe period

Vendée Globe 2024 – Hôtel Les Embruns – 19 October to 11 November 2024

The General and Special Sales Conditions define the terms and conditions applicable to the reservation of a minimum number of rooms at the Hôtel Les Embruns for the period from 19 October to 11 November 2024.

These conditions are applicable to all sales concluded for the reservation of a minimum room at the Hotel Les Embruns during the said period. The customer hereby acknowledges that he/she has read these special terms and conditions of sale and undertakes to comply with them.

These conditions of sale may be modified at any time, and the conditions in force on the date of the reservation will apply.


Reservations for individuals from mid-January 2024 must be made directly with the Hotel Les Embruns using the contact form or by telephone. Priority will be given to stays of at least three nights.

50% of the total cost of the stay must be paid at the time of booking by bank transfer or direct debit using a credit or debit card. The balance (50%) must be paid by bank transfer 30 days prior to arrival.

A booking confirmation will be sent to the client detailing the information and services booked.

The paid invoice will be sent after the client’s arrival.


Cancellation is only possible in cases of force majeure. Art. 1218. Civil Code.

From 60 to 31 days before the start of the holiday, 50% of the total amount of the booking will be charged,

Less than 30 days before the start of the holiday or in the event of no-show, 100% of the total cost of the holiday will be charged.

Insurance: Hôtel Les Embruns advises the customer of the possibility of taking out an insurance policy with the organisation of their choice to cover the consequences of cancellation for certain reasons.


Hôtel Les Embruns will not make any refunds unless the customer has taken out cancellation insurance.
